He has lived through 46 percent of our nations history and has many stories to share with us today. So please help me in welcoming Frank Buckles. Good afternoon, I would like to thank you all for coming to this very special event celebrating our nation's veterans. Today we would like to give an enthusiastic and respectful welcome to a man who served in one of the greatest military conflicts of the twentieth century.

It is my pleasure to introduce to you all Mr. He is the last surviving veteran of World War I. Buckles has lived through the country's growth for years.
